REGULATION – ACCREDITATIONS FESPACO 2027

The Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) welcomes in priority professionals of the motion picture industry as well as media people and festival representatives. The 30th Edition of FESPACO will take place from 20 to 27 March 2027 in Ouagadougou. To participate, professionals must be accredited. Accreditations are granted according to professional activity.

This Regulation aims to define the conditions for registration for the different badge categories (Film Professions, Media and Film Festival Representatives).

Article 1: Access to the professional and screening venues of the 30th Edition of FESPACO is subject to presentation of a badge.

Article 2: Registration for the different badge categories implies adherence to this Regulation.

Article 3: The Professional Badge is exclusively reserved for professionals of the motion picture industry, media people and festival representatives. This badge is issued strictly for personal use.

Article 4: All national professionals are not automatically accredited. A quota of badges is granted to each film and audio-visual association. According to the quota granted, the chair of each association must approve the registration of their members, allowing them the register online.  

Article 5: The Professional Badge gives access to cinema theatres and FESPACO PRO/MICA (African International Film and Audio-visual Market) site.

Article 6: The Media Badge is issued to media professionals, giving access to press screenings only.This badge does not give direct access to cinema theatres. To access cinema theatres, the Media Badge must be accompanied with a “Pass”.

Article 7: All national media professionals are not automatically accredited. A quota of Media Badges is granted to each media agency depending on its frequency, importance, film specialization and coverage of festival activities.

Applicants must absolutely attach the national press card or a formal letter on the letterhead of their agency, signed by the editor-in-chief, mandating them to cover the activities of the 30th Edition of FESPACO.

Article 8: The Organizing Committee Badge is issued to event organizers and does not give access to the festival cinema theatres.

Article 9: The Etalon Card is reserved for film fans and professionals who have not been accredited. It is worth CFA Twenty-five (25,000), approximately 39 Euros or equivalent in USD. The Etalon Card gives access to the festival’s cinema theatres and other sites. The Card is valid for the entire festival period and is sold at the festival Accounting Office.

Article 10: Deadline for registration is 30 November 2026 at 23h 59mn on the platform by clicking here.

Article 11: The Director General of the Burkinabe Film and Audio-visual Agency (ABCA) shall be competent for any dispute over the interpretation and application of the provisions of this Regulation.

Amicable settlement shall be favoured in the event of any dispute.

Article 12: Only the French version of this Regulation shall be authentic.

Article 13: Cases not provided for by this Regulation shall fall within the competence of the Director General of ABCA.
