CALL FOR ENTRIES
YENNENGA ACADEMY – FESPACO 2025
Professionals of the film and audio-visual industry and aspiring passionate filmmakers are informed that, as part of the 29e Edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), taking place from 22 February to 1st March 2025, entries for the third edition of YENNENGA ACADEMY are on from 5 April to 31 October 2024.
YENNENGA ACADEMY is a programme by the Management of FESPACO meant for young talents of the African film industry. This programme is a unique opportunity for the youth to learn more about their future professional environment, interact with experts of the industry attending FESPACO, and establish a platform to foster the emergence of new talents and collaborations for the future of African cinema.
YENNENGA ACADEMY is open to all aspiring young filmmakers from Africa and Diaspora. Fifteen (15) participants will be selected for the third edition of YENNENGA ACADEMY due from 23 to 28 February alongside FESPACO 2025.
Programme admission requirements:
- be a national of an African country or Diaspora;
- aged between 18 and 32 years old;
- speak French or English fluently.
Application package
Applications (in French or English) shall include:
- a curriculum vitae;
- a letter of motivation specifying applicant’s needs and expectations;
- a letter of recommendation from an institution in the film sector;
- a passport copy or idendity card;
- an (01) ID photo of the applicant (JPEG 300 dpi format).
NB: Only complete applications will be considered by the selection committee.
