SYNOPSIS:
1953, colonized Algeria. Fanon, a young Black psychiatrist, is appointed chief physician at the Blida-Joinville hospital. He implements his theories of “Institutional Psychotherapy” in opposition to the racist doctrines of the Algiers School of Psychiatry. However, the war infiltrates even his own services.

BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
Abdenour Zahzah is a director of both documentary and fiction films. After studying audiovisual arts at university, he managed the Blida Cinematheque from 1998 to 2003. His first film, Frantz Fanon, mémoire d’asile, was released in 2002. Since then, he has directed several documentaries and a short fiction film in 2010.
