As part of the 30th Edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), taking place from 27 February to 06 March 2027, professionals of the film and audio-visual industry are informed that call for proposals for the YENNENGA POST-PRODUCTION programme is out from 30 March to 30 September 2026.

Yennenga Post-Production is a programme initiated by FESPACO to provide support and assistance for the post-production of African and Diaspora films. It is open to directors on their debut or second feature film (fiction or documentary) in finishing stage.

The programme’s objectives are to contribute to the completion of African and Diaspora films, to enable producers and directors to present their films in finishing stage to professionals and international distributors to make post-production easier and promote co-production partnerships and access to international markets. 

Yennenga Post-Production welcomes all filmmakers from Africa and Diaspora.

Eight (8) proposals will be short-listed and presented to an audience of professionals and decision-makers from across the world.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Not to have been presented at previous editions of Yennenga Post-Production workshops;
  • Proposals must be films in finishing stage made exclusively by African and Diaspora filmmakers;
  • Proposals must be feature films (fiction or documentary) with minimum length of 60 minutes;
  • Films shot in a language other than French or English must be sub-titled in one of these languages;
  • Filmmakers with projects must be on their debut or second feature film project;
  • Only one project per director will be accepted for the Yennenga Post-Production workshops;
  • Two projects maximum per producer will be accepted for the Yennenga Post-Production workshops.

Submission to other sections of the Festival

Submission to the Yennenga Post-Production programme excludes any submission to another official section of the festival during the same edition.

Application form:

Applicants for the Yennenga Post-Production programme shall provide:

  • A synopsis (maximum 400 characters);
  • A statement of intent of director;
  • A statement of intent of producer;
  • A bio-filmography of director;
  • A photo (JPEG 300 dpi) of director;
  • A bio-filmography of producer;
  • Pictures and a visual (in portrait and landscape, JPEC 300 dpi);
  • Name and address of production company;
  • Cover letter of director and producer specifying post-production needs and expectations;
  • Total budget of film indicating the amount to be raised to complete the film;
  • A download and viewing link of film, valid until 31 March 2027;
  • A letter of authority co-signed by authors (director/ producer).

N.B.: Only complete applications will be considered by the selection committee.
