PAN-AFRICAN FILM AND TELEVISION FESTIVAL OF OUAGADOUGOU
As part of the 30th Edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), taking place from 27 February to 06 March 2027, professionals of the film and audio-visual industry and aspiring filmmakers are informed that applications for the fourth edition of the YENNENGA ACADEMY programme are on from 30 March to 20 September 2026.
Yennenga Academy is a FESPACO programme for African cinema young talents. It is an opportunity for the youth to discover their future working environment, interact with industry experts attending FESPACO, offering a platform for the emergence of new talents and collaboration opportunities for the future of African cinema.
YENNENGA ACADEMY welcomes all young aspiring filmmakers from Africa and Diaspora.
Fifteen (15) participants will be short-listed to attend the 4th edition of the YENNENGA ACADEMY programme taking place from 28 February to 05 March 2027.
Programme eligibility criteria:
- Be a national of an African country or its Diaspora;
- Be aged between 18 and 32;
- Be able to speak French or English fluently.
Application package
The application package (in French or English) shall include:
- A curriculum vitae ;
- A cover letter specifying applicant’s needs and expectations;
- A letter of recommendation from a film organization;
- A copy of the valid passport or National ID card;
- A recent portrait photo (JPEG 300 dpi) of applicant.
N.B.: Only complete applications will be considered by the selection committee.
