Synopsis

2020 in Senegal. The young president of barristers in Dakar presents new elements to the Supreme Court to review the famous “17 December 1962 Coup” trial. In the dock are Council President Mamadou Dia and four ministers including Valdiodio N’Diaye. This political trial, the outcome of which was known in advance provided an excuse for L.S. Senghor to eliminate his nationalist opponents, with the complicity of France.

French-Senegalese director Amina N’DIAYE LECLERC co-directed with Eric CLOUE in 2000 a documentary film Valdiodio N’Diaye, l’Indépendance du Sénégal, official selection of numerous international festivals including Namur Film Festival, Amiens Film Festival and Fribourg Film Festival in Switzerland. The film was also aired by such media networks as Histoire, CFI, TV5 Afrique, TV 5 Monde and showed at in 2000.
