Synopsis
François left Haiti for the USA, leaving behind his six-month-pregnant wife Marylande. Ten years later, without any news from him, she decides to offer a sacrifice to Agwe, the sea god.

Samuel Suffren is a Haitian director. He has directed several short films selected and awarded at many international festivals. His latest short film “Agwe” is in the official selection at Locarno Festival and Clermont Ferrand Film Market. He is currently developing a feature documentary « Lòtbò« , winner of Francophonie’s Fond Images, Young Francophone Creation, PROCIREP… « Je m’appelle Nina-Shakira » is his new fiction feature film project, an adaptation of « Les Immortelles« , a novel by Mackenzy Orcel.
