SYNOPSIS
Upon her release from a detention center, Anita, a dancer and aspiring songstress with anger management issues, finds out that Serge, her reclusive boyfriend, has suddenly died. Through the wake period, Anita finds comfort in her friendship with Shema, who also was Serge’s best friend. As the ques0on of lust over loyalty torments the two friends, Anita tries to distance herself from Shema and dedicates herself en0rely to her music.

Mbabazi Sharangabo Philbert Aimé is a graduate of the Haute École d’Art et de Design in Geneva, cinema department. His short film I Got My Things And LeG, won the Oscar qualifying “Grand Prize of Oberhausen” in the 2019. He has made a dozen short films that have screened at over 50 film fesRvals world wide including IFF RoUerdam, Vision du Réel Nyon, InternaRonale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Tampere, Oberhausen, Go Short Nijmegen, Indie Lisboa, ISFF Hamburg, FIFF Namur and Uppsala Short Film FesRval. He is a Berlinale Talents and a Locarno Filmmakers Academy and Torino Film Lab almuni. The Oberhausen IFF dedicated a retrospecRve program to his work in 2020. Minimals In A Titanic World is his first feature film.
