MOHAMMED LATRECHE, Algeria, 2023

SYNOPSIS:
Apart from a few cinephiles who still revere his legacy, the name Mohammed Zinet has faded into obscurity… or almost. Yet, his gentle face and distinctive mustache seem familiar. Zinet was the Algerian worker who killed Jean Carmet at the end of DUPONT LAJOIE, directed by Yves Boisset in 1974.

BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
At the age of 19, Mohammed LATRECHE left Sidi Bel-Abbès to join his brother in Paris. Passionate about Political Science and cinema, he undertook multiple internships and worked various small jobs on French productions. A self-taught filmmaker, he returned to Algeria and founded his production company in 2003 to produce his own films and those of his friends, distribute auteur films, and organize festivals.
