SYNOPSIS:
RESSACS, A Tuareg Story is a film that explores the memory and identity of the Tuareg people through a filmmaker’s letter to his son. It recounts the history of the Kel Ansar, a tribe from Timbuktu, highlighting their resilience and culture in the face of challenges such as colonization, sedentarization, droughts, rebellions, and exile.
BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
A documentary filmmaker and writer from Timbuktu, Intagrist el Ansari lived in Mauritania for 15 years before moving to France due to the conflict in northern Mali. He published his first novel, Echo Saharien, l’inconsolable nostalgie, in 2014 and has directed films such as Echo Nomade and Rêve d’Afrique. He is also a magazine writer and a television reporter.
