Twana Sheriya, Democratic Republic of the Congo, 2023 SYNOPSISKUWA JIBIKA has just been fired, but he doesn’t dare tell his partner, Nella. Every morning, he pretends to go to work, making her believe that he is still employed by “the Lebanese.” One day, he meets Jasiri, who introduces him to a job he eventually masters, allowing him to make a good living. However, out of shame, he never reveals to Nella the nature of this unexpected profession.

BIOFILMOGRAPHY
Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, TWANA SHERIYA studied international law at the University of Kinshasa before training in film techniques at Actions de Kinshasa. He has directed and co-produced the short fiction film APRES COUP, which won Best Short Film at the Kinshasa International Film Festival and was nominated at Écrans Noirs.
