BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
Flora Gomes is a Guinea-Bissau filmmaker. His first feature film, Mortu Nega (1987), was screened at the Venice Film Festival in 1988. He later directed:
• The Blue Eyes of Yonta (1992),
• Po di Sangui (1996) – Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival,
• Nha Fala (2002),
• The Children’s Republic (2010).
