SYNOPSIS:
In his village, where bread is scarce, Ousseynou, a former fisherman and family patriarch, finds modest economic stability by selling stale bread. However, the opening of his sister-in-law’s traditional bakery is an affront to him, creating unspoken tension between them and gradually jeopardizing his business and his role as a family man. 

BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
Yoro MBAYE is a Senegalese director and producer born in 1992 in Ndiob, Fatick region, Senegal. After studying history, he turned to cinema and directed several short films, including “Journée Noire” (2020) and “Famara” (2019), which were selected in various international festivals, notably Clermont-Ferrand. In 2021, he participated in the Ouaga Film Lab with “Fagadaga,” his first feature film project, winning four awards. In 2024, he directed “LEES WAXUL,” a short film co-produced by Senegal, France, Belgium, and the Central African Republic. As a producer, he also co-produced “La Nuit des Rois,” nominated for an Oscar in 2021, and Alain Gomis’ “DAO,” currently in post-production.L.
