SYNOPSIS
In a public housing project in La Réunion, as the Eid al-Adha festival approaches, Ibrahim, a 12-year-old boy of Comorian descent, is stigmatized by Evan, a neighbor his age, who accuses him of being an animal killer. When Ibrahim learns that a goat will be delivered to his building, he wants to save the animal… but Evan is watching.
BIOFILMOGRAPHY
Nicolas Séry is a writer from La Réunion. In 2021, he directed his first film, Reine Kayanm, which tells the story of Ray, a teenager torn between his roots and modernity. In 2023, his second short film, Kabri i manz salad, is a comedy addressing racism against the Mahoran and Comorian Muslim communities in La Réunion.
