SYNOPSIS
In “Hadu, ” a nostalgic and uplifting animated short film set in the vivid 1990s, we join Mimi, a passionate 10-year-old, on an exquisite culinary journey. Mimi attempts to reproduce her grandmother’s favourite recipe for a family gathering against the backdrop of a cosy kitchen packed with nostalgic charm. Infused with a distinct 90s aesthetic, the film masterfully captures the essence of the era, eliciting feelings of nostalgia. Mimi is utilising her grandmother’s recipe book to deal with wonderful mistakes and culinary problems. Mimi and her vivacious grandma embark on a joyful voyage, guided by her grandmother’s gentle presence, emphasising the everlasting connections created through food, memories, and familial bonds. “Hadu” not only celebrates the flavours of the 1990s, but it also tells a touching story that audiences can relate to thanks to its evocative storytelling and nostalgic atmosphere
