SYNOPSIS
Timba, 14 years old, flees his village devastated by a terrorist attack with his mother Hallis and his sister Nafi, following the mysterious disappearance of his father, Kayara, a man marginalized by his own people. Seeking safety, the family takes refuge in the city at the home of Malick, Timba’s uncle. However, the hostility of Malick’s wife makes their stay unbearable. Desperate to help his family, Timba accepts a job offer from a friend he trusts, only to fall into a trap. He is captured and taken to a terrorist training camp engaged in a fierce war against the army and the president. Inside this brutal environment, Timba must fight for his survival, navigating a world of violence and manipulation.

BIOGRAPHY
Sagou Banou is a director and assistant director trained at the Institut Supérieur de l’Image et du Son (ISIS-SE) in Burkina Faso. Specializing in fiction and documentary, he has directed award-winning films, including Mon Jour de Chance (2020) and Le Serment de Boukary (2023). With expertise in film production management, directing actors, and screenwriting, he combines creativity and precision, backed by a dual background in business law and multimedia communication. Actively engaged in festivals and creative residencies, he is committed to innovative projects rooted in a deep understanding of African realities.
