SYNOPSIS
In Kisangani, Democratic Republic of the Congo, a fallen wrestling star and his fellow fighters struggle to organize a grand event in honor of their late mentor, a forgotten former world champion.
BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
Based in Kisangani, DRC—the city where he grew up—Derhwa Kasunzu holds a law degree from the University of Kisangani. He trained in documentary writing and filmmaking techniques at Studios Kabako. In 2018-2019, he was part of the Lubunga Files project, under the artistic direction of Faustin Linyekula. In 2018, he directed his first short film, INKERSON.
