SYNOPSIS:
Manuella, a young woman from Ouagadougou in her early forties, can no longer bear her husband’s sexual appetite and his daily advances, which turn violent when she refuses. At her wit’s end, she files a complaint at the police station without fully considering the consequences, as marital rape remains a taboo subject in society.
BIOFILMOGRAPHY:
Alimata OUEDRAOGO was born in 1981 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. After earning a degree in marketing communication and public relations, she began her acting career in 2003, performing in several films. In 2009, she founded her production company, Star Events Production. She directed her first feature-length fiction film, GRAINE, in 2021, which garnered numerous awards.
