Sèkamè TCHAOU, Benin, 2024 SYNOPSIS Cocou and Fifame, a brother and sister living in the countryside, survive on their harvests. One day, while attempting to steal from a farmer, they discover his wounded and dying body. Cocou suggests taking him to a nearby village for treatment, but Fifame strongly opposes. After much insistence from her brother, she reluctantly agrees. However, the arrival of two suspects searching for the farmer’s body puts them on high alert, forcing them to flee with him.

Sèkamè TCHAOU is a self-taught filmmaker with a degree in JRI (Journalism and Image Reporting). She has worked on several film projects, including Nonvi, her latest film. She also wrote the teen series Lumière sur le chemin. In 2022, she won the Best Documentary Screenplay Award at the Ciné 229 Awards with her documentary Quand les caméras s’éteignent, which also opened the FIFF-Cotonou 2022.
