SYNOPSIS
When a severe drought strikes their farming community, Tessema and his family consider selling their land and leaving. While digging for water, his father, Shiferaw, is accidentally killed. The family buries him in the church and decides to move on. A few days later, Shiferaw’s body mysteriously disappears from his grave.

BIOGRAPHY AND FILMOGRAPHY
Beza Hailu Lemma is a filmmaker and screenwriter based in Addis Ababa. He has directed several films, including Ballad of the Spirits (2016), Katanga Nation (2022), and Alazar (2024). Katanga Nation has been showcased at festivals worldwide, earning the Silver Stallion for Best Short Documentary at FESPACO 2023 and an award at the Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival.
